Afternoon Tea at the Sagamore

What a gorgeous day and a gorgeous spot on Lake George! We enjoyed an elegant tea with traditional cucumber, salmon, crab, and smoked chicken tea sandwiches, scones and devonshire creamwith jam, and bon-bons (some of them rich, wonderful chocolate). We wore our finest and shared the event with the Restless Reds and Spindle City Divas. We finished the day at Bon Worth in the Lake George Outlet Center and found some delightful purple clothes!

Spindle City Diva's luncheon at the Clarion

Shop! Shop! Shop! And eat ! What could be a better time? The Spindle City Diva's once again had a terrific event. There were Betty Parker special hats, lots of jewelry, and a vendor from Cape Cod (summer) & Florida (winter) who came with lots of terrific Red Hat clothing and accessories. And shop we did....We even ordered items she didn't have to be mailed to us! And then Gabe won a $25 door prize to shop some more. The food was delicious and it's always terrific to see everyone's different hats, outfits, jewelry and accessories.

Royal Lipizzaner Stallions - September 23, 2007

One of the very best things about the Red Hats is that you meet people and you connect, find shared interests, and do things with friends you would not have met but for the Red Hats. The Royal Lipazzaner Stallions show in Syracuse is one of those events. It turns out that Elinore, Donna, and I all have wanted to see the performance of these amazing horses, but didn't know anyone else who did... until we talked at a gathering and made plans to go. Although no other members chose to go along, it was awesome and one more thing we can cross off our lists as having done in our lifetimes.

Gathering at Barb's house - September 17, 2007

The Queen was not there and I have no pictures , but a gathering happened at Barbara's house and an enjoyable time was had by all. I hear there was wine served, and people socialized, and laughed further cementing friendships.

Adirondack Red Hat Minivention - September 7-9, 2007

What a great time!!! It was three days of laughter, silliness, good food, good drink, sisterhood, and friendship..... And of course, horseback riding. And lots of good food, shopping, dancing, and bonfires with marshmallows of course. There was a PJ breakfast, open bar and dinner in our regalia finest, scenic train ride, and entertainment both evenings. The weather cooperated by being warm and sunny and beautiful in the Adirondacks.
All of us rode horses (even Joan M and Mitzi). Elinore glowed as the singer sat with her. We all found Red Hat treasures we couldn't live without and made new friends.
