Wilderstein, Tea and Locust Grove

Today we traveled into the beautiful Hudson Valley to visit the 19th century homes of the then rich and famous. First, we viewed the elegance of Wilderstein largely untouched since 1888 and decided we could all live with that level of luxury. Then we enjoyed tea with sandwiches and decadent desserts like chocolate dipped strawberries and mini cheesecakes and brownies. Then it was on to Locust Grove, the home of Samuel Morse. Overlooking the beautiful Hudson, we saw ourselves having breakfast in the master suite in the morning sun ...and enjoying an elegant repast in the lovely dining room. Thanks to Ade for this terrific event!
