Marley & Me

Our ladies gathered to travel to the Madison Theater to see "Marley and Me", a tearjerker about a yellow lab who becomes part of a family.... starring Owen Wilson & Jennifer Anniston. As always, a fun event and great sisterhood!

Hawaiin Luau

What a wonderful event we sponsored ! Our luau was attended and enjoyed by all 150 guests. After a tradition "lei-ing" and kiss to welcome our guests, we satisfied our shopping urges at the vendors and then enjoyed an authentic Hawaiian feast of pulled pork, chicken teriyake, roast pork, rice with pineapple and macadamia nuts, green beans, coleslaw, Polynesian ambrosia, and a choice of desserts with coffee. After Chapter introductions, the entertainment began with "Sophie", a local senior citizen from Hawaii who danced the traditional hula and taught us the hula moves, and played the ukelele while we joined her on stage and sang along and played our blow-up ukeleles. Next came the Cool Cat DJ with 3 gorgeous hula dancers who danced for us both traditional hula and rock hula, taught us more hula moves, and a hula contest and a limbo contest. Even at our age, we still have the moves as we danced and hula hooped to the music. Tons of door prizes were awarded and we all parted with new friends.

French Cuisine Cooking at the Glen Sanders

The Scarlett Harlequins invited our chapter to jin them at a French cuisine class and dinner at the Glen Sanders Mansion. Mary S, chuck, Ade & Gabe had a delightful evening learning, preparing and enjoying a scrumptious repast. All reported a delightful evening.... but no one has cooked for all of the rest of us yet!
