May Pole at the Brown House

Dressing up is SO much fun... especially when its in Victorian attire and having tea and a May Day celebration with May Pole at a genuine Victorian House with a real Victorian lady. And at the tea, Joan B and Joan M were our servants, but we were fine and proper mistresses and guests. We joined with the Scarlett Harlequins on this occasion to gather, learn more Victorian etiquette, and have fun!

The Rotterdam Memorial Day Parade

I never thought it would be so much fun! We sat in open convertibles and the back of Donna's decorated truck in our Red Hat and purple and boy oh boy did we ever get attention. People smiled. laughed, took pictures of us, and asked to join us. The men in the fire truck behind us laughed and blew their horn in response to a big red clacker being held up to them to stop. We waved the Queen's wave, rang cowbells, shook our clackers, waved our scarves, and shot off confetti guns to the crowd and judges' stand. And Florence even wore a BIG hat. Then we all went to Mitzi's patio on a lovely evening to enjoy refreshments. No doubt, we will do it again!

Lake George Red Hat Cruise

A terrific day on Lake George. It was a bit brisk outside, but perfect inside as we cruised the Lake . We enjoyed Red Hat company, dancing, and dining (as always). We were even told by the son of the owner who has been working on this boat for years, that we were the "Rowdiest" Red Hats he's ever seen.... and I'm told he was easy on the eyes.

Rowdy Scarlett's Anniversary Celebration at Mallozzi's

We just celebrated our third anniversary as Rowdies! So many good times, good friends, and silliness and laughter. We celebrated taking time for ourselves, making new lifelong friendships, eating great food, trying and enjoying things we never thought we would be doing, and eating desert first. We remembered we have already paid our dues and life is far too short to not enjoy every moment we can.
