Valley Cats at the Joe, Diamond Dig, & Fireworks

Once again this year, we donned our Red Baseball Hats and went to the Joe for a game. We enjoyed hot dogs, beer, nachos, ice cream and popcorn (of course, its a ball game). We did the Wave and the Cats won for us. We then went on the field and desperately dug for a buried diamond... but of course someone else found it. The fireworks show was terrific and we enjoyed the lights, colors and noise before traveling home.

Spindle City Diva's Swap Meet & BBQ

Ten of us enjoyed a terrific Giffy's chicken B-B-Q and then a Red Hat stuff swap meet. We set up a table to sell our wares (Thank you Patti). I'm told, however, that despite sales, Patti came home with more stuff then she sold. We did certainly enjoy Patti modeling her almost new purple bath robe and other Red Hatters modeling potential new outfits and bargain shopping for our Red Hat wardrobes.

Pool Party at Barb S's House

Barb very graciously offered to share her lovely pool and yard and to host a pool party for the Rowdies. We enjoyed lazing in the pool, a wonderful BBQ chicken meal and lots of good food, and great company and laughs. Mitzi and Patti led teams competing to win the toilet paper and plunger game, but I'm told they just couldn't keep the plungers straight holding them with their thighs!
Thanks so much to Barb for hosting this party and sharing her beautiful pool!

Queen's Council Picnic in Connecticut

We traveled to Connecticut to visit friends we met at conventions and to attend their annual Queen's Council picnic. Held at an amusement park, we enjoyed a carnival show, games, great picnic food, a really neat boat ride around the lake, and sisterhood with other Red Hatters. Some of our ladies spent the night and went out for a fine dinner with our host.
