Rotterdam Memorial Day Parade

Boy, did we ever make a statement!   A group of gorgeous ladies in purple with red hats, two black Mustang convertibles, a motorcycle, and a bright red truck with chairs in the back.  Candy was tossed to children along the way, flags were given out to booth children and adults along the way, horns were blown, clackers clacked, confetti guns were fired.... and we had lots of laughs as we traversed Curry Road.

NYS Capitol visit,, Corning Tower and lunch at Pump House

We have talked of visiting the NY Capitol forever, but with Florence's planning and leadership, we finally made it.  After car pooling to Albany, we went on a guided tour of the Capitol with a very knowledgeable docent.  We were amazed at the size and grandeur of this building, right here in our midst.  We amazed that most of us had not visited in many, many years and had forgotten what a treasure our Capitol is.  As we left, we found out that the Corning Tower observation deck was open and so off we trudged.  Despite Elinore's protestations (she is fearful of heights), we went to the 42nd floor to get a marvelous view of the city area from all directions.   On a beautiful afternoon, it was fabulous!  Then it was off to share lunch ( and a brew) at the Albany Pump House.   Great Day!!!

Rowdy Scarlett's 4th Anniversary Party at Mallozzi's

An elegant dinner in an elegant setting is only fitting for our 4th anniversary party.  Thanks to Patti for arranging our celebratory dinner.  The food was awesome and the desserts plentiful and wonderful.  We made quite the fashion statement in our Purple and Red finery and entertained the room as well as ourselves with our festivities.  Especially when we all gathered on the stairs and balcony for our photo op!

Elinore's Surprise Birthday Party

One of the fantastic things about Red Hatting is that you meet and become friends with people you otherwise never would have know.  And you share in their lives....   Elinore was having a big special birthday and her daughter invited all of the ladies of the Chapter to join in the surprise.  And despite all of us liking to talk, we managed to pull off the surprise.  We enjoyed a terrific repast, weathered some bouts of wind and rain, and had a great time celebrating our Co-Queen's birthday.
