Pool Party at Linnie's

A summer day is a great time for a pool party.  So we were all delighted to accept Linnie's kind invitation to share her beautiful backyard and pool for an afternoon.  When we arrived, tables were all set up in red and purple as was a flamingo with a red hat to welcome us.  As always, our food was fabulous and plentiful and the company even better.  The weather cooperated with a delightful day, the pool was inviting, and many of us found our way in & we found out that Chuck can  still dive!

Annie Get Your Gun at Park Playhouse

   The wild west beckoned us!  So we hied over to Washington Park for the musical production of Annie Get Your Gun.  We brought our own chairs and created a  fabulous picnic of turkey, chicken legs, bread, cheeses, pepperoni, veggies, fruits, subs, and nuts.  Even on a pot luck, we found we were balanced.  

    The show was fun and the leading lady was fabulous.  And love won out in the end!

Sock Hop at La Dolce Vita

     The waitresses wore poodle skirts and so did we (well some of us).   We dined and listened to the acpella sounds of the GTO's who actually had  vintage GTO in the parking lot.   No surprise, we knew all of the words!
