Lake George Red Hat Cruise

It was rainy when we started and when we arrived at the boat, but it  did not dampen our spirits or our good time!   And it cleared enough so that it was simply beautiful out on the deck.  The buffet luncheon was plentiful and the dessert sweet and delicious.   But the very best part was the music, contests, dancing, and socializing with a sea of ladies dressed in purple and red.   Patti was our star as conga leader and back-up singer and Joan B  won one of the door prizes.  On the way home, some of us stopped and visited Wiawaka and  Yaddo gardens.  We even tasted rose hips - sweet like apple!

Whitehall Castle tea with the Scarlet Harlequins

We traveled by bus to beautiful Whitehall, way up on the mountain, to the "castle" built in the 1800's.  We were treated to a traditional tea (although many of us drank coffee) which ended with terrific desserts, including a crumble that was made with zucchini but tasted like apple.  We toured the house and learned about the kindly resident ghost before going to the local museum to bone up on more local history.  It was yet another terrific day!

Surprise 65th Birthday Party for Marty

All dressed up in our elegant Black and Bling, the Rowdies and the Chickadees gathered at Dolce Vita to celebrate Marty's birthday with dinner, a cake ,and a round of Happy Birthday.  And it wasn't just any cake - it had Marty's picture on the cake.  And a great time was had by all!
